Booking is now live for this Easter’s Fit and Fed programme!
We’re partnering with Plymouth City Council for their Fit & Fed programme again this Easter and are delighted to announce that the activities for the Easter school holidays (activities available from 13 – 16 April) can now be booked online!
We have a range of free activities suitable for children aged between 8 to 13 years who meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Children on benefit-related free school meals
- Looked After Children
- Children with Education, Health Care Plans
- Foster Children
- Young Carers
- Children of recognised refugees and children from asylum seeking and Ukrainian families
- Children under Child Protection Plans
- Children who are Home Educated, who would be eligible for Free School Meals if they were in school
Eligible children will only be able to access a maximum of 4 days for free during the Easter Holidays.
To enable participation in the Fit and Fed programme it is a requirement that parents detail their child’s date of birth, school, unique 6 digit booking code, and self-declare their free school meal status (or other status as listed above) when making any bookings directly with us. Eligible children will have a unique booking code which is required to complete your booking. These codes are issued by the Fit and Fed team, but if you’ve not yet received your code – please contact getactive@plymouthactive.co.uk. Furthermore, participants must be able to take on/off a wetsuit unassisted and be water-confident for all water-based activities. All activities include a cold packed lunch – please detail any dietary requirements when booking.
If you require SEND support for an individual child please contact the Centre by phone 01752 404567 or email enquiries@mount-batten-centre.com as soon as possible after booking so that we can applying for this support. To apply we will need to know the child’s EHCP banding and other personal information about the child, so will ask you to complete an additional form
Please note that the Centre is currently undergoing redevelopment works as part of the Plymouth Sound National Marine Park project. Our main building will be closed, participants should report to our temporary reception located in our top car park – what3words ///acting.safety.crest . Further directions will be issued in your joining instructions emailed to you upon completing your booking
